When it comes to getting a toned stomach not only do you need to exercise you need to be using the right diet for a six pack.
By following the right kind of diet then you are ensuring that you become as toned as you possibly can.
By failing to understand how important a diet can be to creating well toned abdominal muscles can result in you not achieving your desired goals.
In fact what one must immediately realize is that exercise alone is not going to help you achieve a great looking 6 pack.

Oatmeal - Eating this first thing in the morning is a great way to help you lose calories.
This particular food contains complex carbs which can help your body to burn off fat more effectively and easily.
Plus it contains high levels of fibre that take longer for the body to digest and you will find after having a bowlful with either water or skimmed milk prevents you from snacking between meals.
Non Fat Dairy Products - These still remain high in calcium that your body needs to make not just bones but muscles stronger as well.
Plus you will find that it helps the body to eliminate saturated fat from the body much more easily and so in turn you will find that fat gets burnt off more easily.
In a study carried out by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville they discovered those people consuming non fat calcium foods in their diet lost considerably more fat than those who used calcium free foods.
Water - It is recommended that in order for our bodies to function at their optimum levels we should all consume around 8 glasses of water each day.
However, if you really want to see the fat melt away from around your stomach and allow those toned abs to appear than consume more.
Studies again have been carried out and in the journal Metabolism those people who drank more water became hyperhydrated and found that they burned off more stored fat than those who didn't.
Eat More Fresh Vegetables - If you can instead of eating lots of potatoes, pasta and rice cut these down and instead eat some fresh vegetables in their place.
For example reduce your portion of pasta by half with a meal and replace this with say a cup of broccoli, green beans or cauliflower instead.
Did you know that a cup of white rice 5 times as many calories as you would find in a cup of mixed vegetables which have been steamed.
