As all dentists are obliged to produce a document outlining who works in the practice and the times and types of physical access, it may be worth getting hold of several.
However, there are other factors that might determine your choice.
Below, we offer a list of attributes that you may wish to take into account.
On the assumption that most general practice dentists are of reasonable and similar competence, and to be registered by the General Dental Council (GDC) at one time they must have displayed such competence, you may want to consider some, or all, of the following:

*a male or female dentist.
If this is of concern to you, always check the availability of either in the newer, larger, group practices.
*a sympathetic person with whom you feel comfortable.
*talkative, chatty dentist (or a taciturn one).
*gentle dentist who works without you noticing.
An extremely thorough, firm dentist.
*dentist who is good with your children.
*surgery where a dental hygienist attends.
*dentist who charges considerable amounts of money.

We have to remember that it is all about our dental health so take your time to find practitioner right for you.
