DIY Ornaments With Toilet Rolls
- 1). Run glue around the rim of one of the openings of the toilet paper tube. Press the glue-covered end on top of a dessert-sized paper plate.
- 2). Run a thick line of glue around the rim of the top of the toilet paper roll. Allow the glue to drip down the sides of the roll. Set the tube aside until completely dry.
- 3). Paint the exterior of the toilet paper roll with tempera paint. Use any color paint you find appealing.
- 4). Cut an oval with a pointed top from a piece of gold foil or yellow construction paper. This will represent the flame of a candle.
- 5). Place a drop of glue on the back of the oval, opposite the pointed end. Press the glued side of the shape onto the top inside portion of the toilet paper tube.
- 6). Glue pine cones and pine needles on the surface of the paper plate, around the base of the toilet paper roll.
- 1). Paint the outside of an empty toilet paper roll with tempera paint. Use a vibrant-colored paint, such as blue, green or red. Allow the paint to completely dry.
- 2). Stand the toiled paper roll up. Glue two googly eyes, side-by-side, on the front of the roll.
- 3). Cut a small triangle from orange construction paper or craft foam and glue it just under the eyes with the point facing down or to one of the sides, creating a beak.
- 4). Glue colorful feathers to the back of the toilet paper tube. Arrange the feathers so that they stick up over the back of the tube and out of the sides of the tube.
