Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to depot your makeup. This is what a pot is. It's an eye shadow holder and it actually has the eye shadow in a pan on the inside of the pot. Now makeup artists a lot of times like to have all of their colors laid out in front of them into a palette so they like to uproot the pan from the pot and put it into a palette. Today I'm not going to uproot this one because I actually like this remaining in the pot but, what you would do would be to take a sharp object and uproot it from the sides and after you've done that you can throw your pot away. There's really no use for that and so after you've uprooted it, it's going to look like this in the pan, just a little disc and it's going to go well into your palette. So you have it all next to each other and when you are working on your client, you have all of these to choose from. All of these pans have been removed from their pot and placed into a palette that's easy to work with for the makeup artist so she can dictate the colors that best work for her client.
