Hello everyone. This is Christina Marrale from Beautyqueenblog.com and today I'm going to be showing you a favorite homemade organic lotion recipe of mine. So the first ingredient we're going to be using is one of my absolute favorite homeopathic scents. It's an organic sweet orange scent. So we're going to drop just a few little shakes into the bowl and this is going to give us a really nice aroma to our lotion. The second ingredient I'm going to be using is extra virgin olive oil. Now with this, use your judgment, I usually do just about a teaspoon. This will give you really glowing skin, help with anti-aging benefits and also really hydrate. The third ingredient is one of my favorite household items, coconut oil. We're going to take about a teaspoon of coconut oil and just get it into the bowl there and to break it down a bit, I'm going to add just a drop of some distilled water just so the lotion is not too chunky. So we're going to begin mixing. Coconut oil initially can be really chunky and hard but once you start to break down the oil and warm it up a bit, it forms into a really nice paste that works wonderfully for a lotion. So we're just going to mix it for about a minute here until the coconut oil breaks down and when it comes to using scents, I prefer to use orange sweet but you can certainly use whatever you'd like, lavender, tea tree oil, anything that you love. Alright, so there we go, we've gotten it into a really smooth paste. We're going to lather this all over the body or in dry areas where you need it and remember too, the homemade lotions are a little bit different from store bought lotions in the sense that they're made of essential oils. So they're going to break down a little bit longer. It's going to take a bit longer to break down rather than a store bought lotion which tends to absorb quickly. So wait about five to ten minutes and it should break down and soften the skin. So that's it, thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed. I'm Christina.
